SmoothEye® Laser

The SmoothEye Laser is a comfortable non-invasive laser treatment that lifts and tightens the eyelids to open up the eye area and reduce the appearance of periocular fine lines. SmoothEye provides the optimal balance between immediate tissue tightening (superficial contraction) and long-term rejuvenation (new collagen formation).

What Is The SmoothEye® Laser?

The multi-tasking SmoothEye® Laser utilises a combination of Nd:YAG and Er:YAG wavelengths for versatility in a wide range of applications. The Nd:YAG wavelength is designed to reach the deepest layers of the skin whereas the Er:YAG wavelength focuses on surface irregularities for a multi-layered effect.

Ageing And Skin Laxity

Collagen and elastin are two vital components that provide structural support to the skin and these are produced by specialised skin cells known as fibroblasts. As we age, our fibroblasts tend to slow down and we produce less collagen and elastin, resulting in fine lines and loose skin. Therefore, lasers can be used to stimulate our fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin, for a gradual and natural age reversal and improved skin quality.

The Smooth Mode

The Smooth mode is a non-ablative long pulse mode which delivers heat energy uniformly and precisely, ideal for skin tightening. The intense, controlled surface tissue heating stimulates collagen remodeling and initiates neocollagenesis. The result is an overall improvement of wrinkles, laxity and elasticity in the treatment areas around the eyes.

What Can I Expect From A Smooth Eye Laser?

The Smooth Eye Laser is a 2-step treatment that takes about 10-15 minutes. The entire periocular region is treated, including the upper eyelid, lower eyelid and skin lateral to the eye. Numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas beforehand and this usually takes 30 minutes. There is minimal downtime and you may return to your usual activities after.
