Radiofrequency Microneedling

Introducing the Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling system, an advanced treatment option for scar treatment, skin rejuvenation and enhancing topical penetration of actives. This cutting-edge device, cleared by the USA FDA, combines monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency (RF) at frequencies of 1 or 2MHz into a single system.

RF Microneedling offers remarkable versatility, allowing you to customize treatments to address your specific skin concerns. With its four different RF modes designed for both shallow and deep treatments, this system is highly effective for enhancing all skin types. Whether you seek treatment for your face or body, RF Microneedling can deliver optimal results at any time of the year.

The New Standard In RF Microneedling

RF microneedling takes your skin to the next level by offering exceptional versatility for customised treatments based on your specific needs. This system is suitable for all skin types, can be used on any area of the body, and is effective year-round.

During the RF microneedling treatment, ultrafine needles are used to create microchannels in the skin’s top layer. The microneedles then release RF energy directly into the targeted areas, stimulating the body’s natural healing process. This leads to the production of new collagen and elastin, essential for skin regeneration. The deep delivery of RF energy allows for faster and more significant results, while minimising downtime.

Benefits of RF Microneedling:

How Do Radiofrequency (RF) Treatments Work?

Insulated Needles

The RF Microneedling device offers 9 different tips with multi-needle arrays in various densities. The insulated needles are designed for both targeted and deep skin treatments. RF Microneedling uses insulated needles, allowing RF energy to be delivered to the exact depth required without heat damage to the surface layers of the skin. This minimises trauma to the topmost layer of the skin with the injury coming only from penetration of the fine needles. These insulated needles reduce the risk of complications, especially in patients with darker skin types and reduce healing time.

The Tiger Tip™

This RF Microneedling device has a special patented “Tiger Tip™” technology where the RF energy comes out at 2 different depths from the microneedles. This allows for 2 depths of treatment in just one pass, treating more tissue in a single treatment, thus saving time and reducing discomfort for the patient, and increasing the results at the same time.

The Fusion Tip™

Speed up your skin rejuvenation journey and unleash your skin’s potential in only a few treatments. Built with a one-of-a-kind Fusion Tip™ designed to enhance topical penetration, you can finally get maximised results in the same amount of time. This is also the first and only microneedling device to provide enhanced topical penetration of up to 67%.

The Fusion Tip™ is a dual-air chamber design that captures and releases air towards the skin with each pulse, enhancing the penetration of topicals into the skin by giving them an extra “push”. The Fusion Tip™ has 21 insulated needles with an Adjustable depth of 0.5-2.5 mm.

The Single Insulated Tip™

The single-needle handpiece is used to precisely target and improve blemishes found in the skin. It is suited for treating active acne as it can go deep into the skin to eliminate the acne-causing bacteria and improve the recovery process. The single insulated needles come in depths of 0.8mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm.

Improve Acne & Acne Scars

Acne scars are caused by deep inflammation and cyst formation with a scar. After inflammation and injury to the skin by acne, the skin will try to heal itself by producing collagen to replace the ones that have been damaged. In some cases, optimal healing might not occur, and may instead form twisted bands between the skin and the subcutaneous layer, which causes the skin to change shape, get pulled downwards and sink in, forming a deep, pitted scar.

RF Microneedling is an excellent forward-targeted treatment that improves acne and acne scarring. Through its monopolar and bipolar energy, directly targeted at the area, it can reduce the inflammation and redness associated with acne, preventing the deeper, long-term scarring often associated with severe acne. All through ultra-fine needles, it helps trigger your body’s natural healing process encouraging renewal from a microscopic, cellular level and stimulates collagen and elastin to improve the appearance of acne scars.

Frequently Asked Questions

The number of treatments required depends on your skin condition and goals. Generally, when used for acne scars, a few treatments are required to see good results. If your purpose is for skin rejuvenation, RF Microneedling can be used as a single treatment before a major event to brighten and tighten your skin. However, we recommend a series of at least 5 treatments for the best long-term results.

The elastin and collagen building typically takes place 4-6 weeks after treatment, with optimal results usually seen at 12 weeks after the last treatment. The number of passes and penetration to the skin will affect the results seen.
For a more pleasant treatment, we apply topical anesthetic cream over the area to be treated at least 30 minutes before the procedure is performed. During the procedure the device handpiece is passed over the skin. The fine needles penetrate the skin and the RF energy is delivered once the needles reach the desired depth. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to complete but will vary depending on the area/s being treated. Immediately following treatment your skin will feel warm but there will be no pain. Over the following days, there will be mild redness and swelling. Bruising is uncommon.

RF Microneedling treatments can be performed on all skin types or skin tones, and on any area of the body. It is a suitable treatment for those who want to fade fine lines, firm their skin or address scarring.
