Sublative Fractional Microneedling

Sublative Rejuvenation is a unique procedure that uses radio frequency (RF) to improve the appearance of the skin. It is a safe and effective FDA-cleared treatment for wrinkles, scars, large pores, and skin texture issues. Over the course of 4 to 5 treatments, it gently resurfaces the skin, tightens loose skin, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks.

What Is Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation?

Sublative RF Skin Revitalization is a non-surgical option for improving the skin’s appearance. It uses fractionated bipolar radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production by creating controlled thermal damage to the deeper layers of the skin. This treatment affects more of the dermis and less of the top layer of the skin, leading to faster healing, more collagen production, and safer outcomes compared to traditional treatments. It is suitable for all skin types.

How Does Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation Work?

The goal of eMatrix Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation is to deliver energy below the skin without overheating the top layer. Other aggressive treatments tend to overheat and remove the top layer of the skin, which forces new skin to develop. eMatrix avoids this by focusing on stimulating collagen production while allowing for faster healing and fewer complications. This makes it safe and suitable for all skin types.

Can Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation Be Used For Acne Scarring?

Patients of all skin types can use Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation as an alternative to laser treatments for skin rejuvenation and acne scarring. The Sublative RF applicator is designed to deliver radiofrequency energy to the skin in a fractional manner, via an array of multi-electrode pins. The array delivers bipolar RF energy to the skin. Microscopic zones of epidermis and dermis are thermally ablated in a grid over the skin surface, where non-ablated zones serve as a reservoir of cells that promote rapid healing.

Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation offers an alternative to laser treatments to reduce the appearance of acne scarring. Since the treatment uses radiofrequency instead of light, the chances of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, a skin discolouration that can occur in patients with darker skin, are greatly reduced.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation treatment is safe to use on a variety of skin types. It's great for adults who are looking to reduce fine wrinkles, and their skin textural problems such as light acne scars or enlarged pores.

You should avoid having Sublative RF Skin Revitalisation if you are pregnant. In addition, patients with pacemakers, internal defibrillators, or metal implants in the area of concern should not have these treatments. Patients who have diabetes, autoimmune disease, history of cold sores or have had injectable fillers in the area to be treated should let us know prior to having the treatment.

Expected side effects are redness and swelling after the procedure should subside in 48 hours. Any resurfacing procedure can result in a scar or infection, although this is exceedingly rare. We have not experienced any darkening or lightening of the skin as a result of eMatrix, although theoretically, this is possible. Before treatment, our doctors will personally discuss all potential risks and side effects with you.
Our patients gradually see a difference after a single treatment, but optimal results are seen after 3 to 6 treatments, which can be done 3 to 4 weeks apart.
