What Is The Acne Away Laser?

The Acne Away Laser is a multi-tasking laser that utilises a combination of Nd:YAG and Er:YAG wavelengths for versatility in a wide range of applications. Acne Away Laser’s Nd:YAG wavelength is designed to reach the deepest layers of the skin whereas the Er:YAG wavelength focuses on surface irregularities for a multi-layered effect.

What Is Acne?

Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition that occurs as a result of clogged sebaceous (oil) glands that subsequently become inflamed and possibly infected. It primarily affects areas of the body with a high density of sebaceous glands, such as the face, neck, chest, shoulders and back. It is more common during periods of hormone imbalance such as during puberty but can persist into adulthood and cause permanent scarring if left untreated. There are many factors that contribute to acne formation, including excess sebum production, inflammation, bacterial growth, hormones, genetics and external irritants such as some cosmetics or medications.
