What is Ultherapy®?

Ultherapy® uses ultrasound energy to go deeper than other non-invasive treatments for collagen stimulation. It leverages traditional ultrasound imaging, allowing a clear view of the layers of tissue that are being treated in real-time. This ensures the treatment energy is delivered precisely to the layer where it will benefit you most — for natural-looking results that improve over time.

The Ultherapy® See Plan Treat Approach At VIDASKIN

 

See: Firstly a facial assessment will be performed with the inbuilt Ultrasound visualisation in the Ultherapy® device. We will evaluate the depth of specific tissue layers on various parts of your face.

 

Plan: Using precise information, your treatment will be planned with a detailed map. This includes marking out the areas to be treated, which areas to concentrate on, and detailing the number of shots that will be delivered.

 

Treat: We use between 1.5mm, 3.0mm and 4.5mm transducers to deliver focused ultrasound energy on required areas.

Any Downtime Or Side Effects?

The skin might appear flushed at first, but the redness should disappear within a few hours. Some patients experience slight swelling, tingling or tenderness to the touch, but these are temporary in nature. Patients are able to resume their daily activities right after treatment.


How Does Ultherapy Work?

The SMAS is a fibromuscular layer in our face that gives it support. The SMAS tends to get looser with age, giving rise to what we see as sagging in the face. This can result in more prominent nasolabial folds and jowls. Ultherapy® uses micro-focused ultrasound to generate a thermal effect under the skin. This delivered heat energy allows the SMAS to contract and become stronger for a better lifting capability, reducing the appearance of sagging in the face. The micro-focused ultrasound energy also jump-starts your body’s own process to create fresh, new collagen. As a natural protein, collagen works to give skin its youthfulness by keeping it firm and toned.

  • Skin is cleansed, and photos are taken for future reference. Numbing cream is applied for about 1 hour.
  • Treatment area is marked out, and ultrasound gel is applied.
  • Ultrasound visualisation is used to determine treatment depth, and appropriate cartridges are selected.
  • Ultrasound energy is delivered one line at a time until the treatment area is fully treated.
  • Walk out refreshed and return to your daily activities after 30 to 90 minutes!

* The procedure takes only about an hour for most patients, but the duration of the treatment depends on your treatment plan.
