The PicoSure® Laser is a FDA-Approved picosecond laser that delivers energy rapidly (in trillionths of a second) to vibrate and shatter the tiny particles that make up pigment and tattoo ink, without burning surrounding tissue. It is also designed to harness the body’s natural healing process for skin rejuvenation and renewal. Using proprietary Focus lens technology, The PicoSure® Laser effectively converts the laser energy into gentle pressure waves that stimulate collagen production for better skin texture and firmness.
The PicoSure® Laser is a comfortable 10-15 minute treatment with little to no downtime. We would recommend numbing with topical anaesthetic cream beforehand and this will take around 30 minutes. After the treatment, you can return to your normal activities.
We recommend using daily sun protection and avoiding direct sunlight whilst undergoing PicoSure Laser Treatment. Treated pigment spots are expected to temporarily darken and scab after treatment and there may also be mild redness for a few hours.
